Our Programs _________________________________________________ Program Goal and Purpose The program will focus on the districts of Klaten (Central Java), Bantul, Gunung Kidul, Sleman and Kulon Progo (Yogyakarta Special Province) as agreed by representatives from key ministries within the Government of Indonesia and AusAID. The goal of the program is to assist the affected families and communities to return as quickly as possible to normality.This goal will be achieved in particular through three components:
These Components have changed since 2009 in response to changing community needs post-earthquake.
Through a partnership approach with Bappeda, Implementing Partners and the communities there will be increased focus on Quality at Implementation, drawing on strength based community assessments that better target assistance and build on types of interventions that proved to be successful during the first phase. The program will continue to be community based, along with stronger Bappeda partnerships.
